Luke has moved on from rice ceral to sweet potato and he actually likes it. He ate almost 1/2 of the little container last night and that was only the second time he's had it. He had it everywhere - and it almost matched his hair!
Believe it or not, Joshua's new favorite food is peas. It's hard to tell from these pictures, but he LOVES peas. He ate approximately 20 peas last night! Amazing - we're so excited!

Joshua's First UGA Game with Daddy
Joshua and Kevin put on their red, black and white and headed up to Athens this morning with Harrison and Greg Weber. This is Joshua's first UGA football game (his first football game was a Georgia Tech game last year). The boys headed up a little early so they could grab lunch and do a little tailgating before the game. I hope they can make it to halftime! Go Dawgs!

Dinner time!
Since Luke will be 5 months old on Sunday, I decided to finally start him on rice cereal. His pediatrician gave me the go ahead at his 4-month check up, but we waited until he was feeling better and not throwing up after a coughing spell. I asked Joshua to show Luke how to eat off the spoon. Of course he demonstrated how a good eater eats -- lucky for him he had yogurt in front of him since that is one of his few staples.
I was able to get about ten tiny spoonfulls into Luke's mouth. Out of the ten, I think he may have swallowed about a bite or two. I consider that a success since this was his first time taking solids. Below are a few candid shots of the boys enjoying their mealtime.

I Love Watermelon - NOT!
Joshua entered a watermelon eating contest this past weekend at a friend's birthday party. And when all the other kids started eating watermelon, he blew us away by going at his slice and took at least 5 big bites. I think he may have even gotten second place. And then said, "Daddy, I love watermelon." So, I bought watermelon for him thinking he would want to eat it for dinner tonight. Of course, he forgot that he liked it. Here he is taking a bite of his slice of watermelon. By the look on his face, you would never guess that he "loved watermelon!"
Beep, Beep, Beep - The Spider Goes into the Garbage Truck
Grandma "Sue-Anne" gave this ridiculous looking spider to Joshua earlier this Spring and he still plays with it. Instead of chasing me around the house telling me, "spider is going to get you," Joshua decided to put him in the garbage. We learned that the spider is rather stretchy as Joshua wedged it into his garbage truck. I'm glad it's out of sight since I sometimes think it's real at 3:00 AM when I'm getting Luke his bottle ready for his overnight feeding.
Luke Michael = Wild!
In typical fashion, Luke is determined to get what he wants. He sees what he wants and does his best to get it: tonight it was his lady bug. This determination and will are what wake me up practically every night. When he finally gets rid of his cough, which is getting better - finally, we'll be putting him in "sleep through the night" boot camp. This little guy will be 5-months on 9/9.
