Playing with our WHITE Watergun!
Joshua called Grandma Sue-Anne and Grandpa Jim and told them that he wanted a "white water gun" for his birthday. Impressed that he was very specific about the color, they proceeded to ask him where they could get this "white" water gun from. He replied, "Target" duh! Okay, he left off the duh part, but it was implied in his tone. Today we filled the gun with water and ice and played with it outside after dinner. Poor Luke, he got shot in the back, but he's a trooper and actually laughed despite the red sting he had on his back.

Happy Birthday Joshua!!!
Today is Joshua's 4th b-day. I can't believe it! Where has the time gone? What a wonderful little boy we have! He's an amazing little boy and we're the luckiest Mom and Dad to have a son who is so incredibly awesome! He's so funny, smart, sensitive and sweet and very, very handsome. He's getting so grown up and says the neatest things now... we asked him what activity he wanted to do at school next, soccer or tennis and he replied, "I think I want to do church now and learn about God." He's taught us so much over the past 4 years and has truly made us better people. I'm thankful every day that I have this wonderful little boy who brightens my world and makes me smile and laugh each day. Happy Birthday Joshy - we love you!

Happy (early) Birthday Joshua and Aunt Jaime
Jaime gets the short end of the stick when it comes to July 28 since she shares it with the J-man. Today we celebrated Aunt Jaime's b-day and all of the attention was on her, sort of. I made Aunt Sissy's chicken, fresh corn on the cob and egg noodles. For dessert, Jaime and Kevin had chocolate mousse -- Aunt Jaime shared with Joshua and Luke who practically ate all the white chocolate trim. Nothing too fancy, we just chilled, played, watched Shrek 2 and got our eat on. After Jaime opened her gifts... it was too much work to explain why she got to open her presents when her b-day wasn't until Monday so we let Joshua pick out one of his and open it. He picked out Uncle Jason's box. What a highlight of the evening! Joshua went crazy over all the cool stuff in his box. He had to model every one of the t-shirts and then turned into the "Hulk" and Iron man for us several times throughout the night, okay a LOT of times. Jaime was sweet to share her b-day once again with Joshua. Meanwhile, Luke was trying to play w/ the action figurines and was able to get away with it until Joshua realized what was going on. He's a great big brother, but don't push him too much, especially on the eve of his b-day. Happy early b-day Joshua and Aunt Jaime!!! We love you guys!!

Waiting for Uncle Harris...
"When is he going to get here?"
"Is he here yet?"
Uncle Harris was in town and stopped by for a visit. Joshua was so excited. He kept going outside and sitting on our stoop to wait for him to drive up. We had a wonderful visit and it was great to visit with him and catch up on everything that's been going on! I think Kevin and Joshua will head up that way later in the Fall for a quick visit to the Big Apple.
