Trip to the Zoo

Joshua was in charge of the map, and was our guide.

The kids had a blast!

Luke checking out Daddy's hand.

Joshua did a little rock climbing this afternoon.

He did great!

Luke is such a cutie pie. He was really, really into the choo-choo train ride.

Joshua's favorite animal was the Kimono dragon. I think Luke's is the giraffe.
Joshua goofing around in the gorilla exhibit.
Luke got a haircut after the zoo. Here he is with his new do. Check out the scowl on Joshua's face - he's pissed b/c I am getting in the way of their "show."

First Day of Kindergarten

Grandma "Sue Anne" and the boys before Joshua got ready for his big day.
Lukey-Loo hanging and watching his show.
Joshua in his outfit he picked out. What a handsome boy!

Joshua and his cheerleaders!
Grandma chasing Kevin, I mean Luke (his very own mini-me)
Joshua kept asking why the bus was taking so long.

The backpack is almost as big as him!

Bus stop group photo.

Bye bye Joshy!

He's somewhere on that bus!
His first day of Kindergarten went great! He was so cute at the stop. He didn't want me to hold his had b/c the other moms weren't holding hands w/ their kids. A friend asked me if I cried, and I told her no. I think b/c he's been going to school for so long, it didn't seem sad to me. I was actually very proud of him. His teacher emailed me and shared w/ me that at lunch he turned to her and said, "hey Mrs. Farah, did you ride the bus today too?" While he looks a lot like me, he's so much his father: social, silly, happy, spirited, smart, kind-hearted, sensitive, sweet, needs lots of sleep - ha, and so many other great things. Proud, that's what I was this morning, and today, proud.

Dog Days of Summer

The Milman boys.

We busted out the slip-n-slide on Saturday, and the Webers came by for a spin. The kids ended up going down the regular slide w/ the help of our hose. They had a blast. I think getting muddy was the winning ticket.

No more tears!

Kevin took Luke for a hair cut last week, and it was the first time he didn't cry. What a huge improvement! The last time we went, both Kevin and I had to hold Luke down while the woman clipped and cut his hair. We're thrilled that it won't be so torturous for both him and us from now on. Yes!

Luke showing off his new do. It's a lot like Daddy's!

Cheesing for the camera, he's a ham too.

Joshua was bummed that his hair is more like mine than Kevin and Luke. Sorry! He'll be thankful when he's older... I hope.

The boys clowning around before we went to the b-day party.
