Sometimes not being in the corporate rat race fighting for enhanced revenue streams and monetizing opportunities is weird for me since that's what I did for 10+ years. However, I switched jobs almost a year ago and while I still work for a company, it's a completely different set up and my role is very different than it has been in the past. I have tons of flexibility, no stress and I get to stay engaged in the energy industry and get paid decently. More importantly, I don't have to wake my kids up at the crack of dawn and rush, rush, rush out of the house every morning just to drop my boys off at daycare so I can be at my desk before 8 AM to make a positive impression on the boss and the boss' boss. Because unfortunately, a lot of the time, it's all about face time - wtf! I digress. So, my point is, I am very lucky. Every morning I get to hang out w/ my kids and some mornings it's just a lot of fun!
The boys snuggling before breakfast one morning when it was below freezing outside.
They are completely ignoring me b/c the Higglytown Heroes are on TV.
This morning, Luke was feeling better and they were both in rare form.
I'm not sure who was having more fun, them or me watching them!
