Happy Birthday Luke Michael

We celebrated his second birthday at My Gym with his friends from school and our neighborhood. The kids had a blast. Happy Birthday big man!

Joshua and the kids gathering around Luke as the kids sang, "happy birthday" to Luke.

The birthday boy taking it all in and trying to digest it all.

Is that for me????
Sure is, "yummy!"

Luke, or is that Kevin?

Somewhere I have a picture of Kevin close to Luke's age, and Luke could almost be his twin!

Easter 2009

Happy Easter! We started a new tradition: we went to church and I cooked Easter dinner. It was a last minute decision, but I'm glad we decided to do it. Joshua and I attended service with the Wrights, and then we made dinner. Lightning didn't strike and dinner was delicious - a success! Grandpa Ron joined us for dinner, and Aunt Jaime and her friend, Scott, came over for dessert.

I love this picture.

Luke learned that he LOVES chocolate.

Yummy, cupcakes!

Joshua enjoyed his chocolate too!

My Boys

These are dated, but I came across them this evening and decided to post them anyway. Some of you may have seen them, some may not. These shots were taken at their school. I love the one of Luke sitting in the chair and the close up one of Joshua.

Night Night Milman Boys

Luke wants to be a part of Joshua's bed time routine now. After book reading, Luke thinks that he's supposed to sleep in Joshua's bed. Not so much lil' Lukey-Lu.

Luke will officially move to his big boy bed on Saturday. We don't have a choice since the Peterson family is picking up his nursery set. So long, you were good to us for almost 5 years - 2 baby boy Milmans. We hope it brings its new family as much use and happiness as it brought our family!

Dying Easter Eggs - 2009

The boys really got into the Easter Bunny spirit.

Luke is looking at Joshua and copying Joshua's every move.

A big thank you to Grandma Sue-Anne and Grandpa Jim for giving the boys their Easter Egg Kit. The boys had a ton of fun, and now Kevin has a plethora of hard boiled eggs to eat!

"Truck, Truck, Truck"

While we were in Florida last weekend, we had a chance to visit with the Angelos one morning. It was great to see and catch up w/ my oldest and dearest friend, Anglea. Like my friends in GA, she took pictures of the kids for me - thank goodness! Freddy is a fireman and gave the kids a "behind the scenes" tour of his firehouse. The kids had a blast! Luke's new favorite word, "truck!"

Registration for Kindergarten

Can you believe it! I registered Joshua for Kindergarten yesterday. Wow, it seems like yesterday he was born. I was very, very proud of our little boy. He seemed a tad nervous at first, but came into his own during the registration process. When he was called back for his screening, he readily went with the teacher and waved bye to me. He seemed like such a big boy... that was until we toured the school and our tour guide showed us the cafeteria and let the kids walk through the area where they get their food. And then they sat in the lunchroom and chatted for a bit. It seemed like the chair swallowed Joshua whole. Joshua's fired up about his new school and can't wait to ride the bus later this summer. Lucky for him (and us), it's at the end of our driveway.
