BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

The boys ventured outside today to go to the n'hood park. After about 5 mins there, they realized that it was way too cold and came home. Their faces, ears and hands were like icebergs even though they had gloves on. No wonder it was a QUICK outing!

The grandparents are gone and it's back to the usual routine and the daily grind. We'll miss having their company and hope they come again soon!

Visiting w/ Grandma and Granpa

My parents were in town this past weekend visiting, helping Jaime and us out w/ picture stuff, and to check out a few places. They are thinking about buying a place. Jaime and Kevin gave the a tour of a couple different areas. We sure hope they buy a place nearby and so does Joshua. He certainly remembered them from Christmas that's for sure. They went w/ me to pick him up from school and he ran and leaped into their arms for a big hug.

We had a nice visit w/ them. We all celebrated Kevin's b-day a little early on Saturday at a local hibachi restaurant. Grandma Stephanie and TT joined us and we all had a delicious meal and a wonderful time. We especially enjoyed our chef who managed to entertain Joshua so much that he actually sat in his seat for 1.5 hours. Amazing! My mom and hopefully Jim will come for another visit in March to go to the small lunch that Jaime and Kerri are having for the baby and me and then she'll be back for a couple of weeks in April when the baby will arrive. We hope that they keep liking it here so that they'll for sure want to buy a place!

It's All about Playing!

We went over to Tim's the other day for dinner and so that the boys could play outside since we were having such good weather. The boys played a new game where they had to catch butterflies and believe it or not, they actually played for a good 10 mins. Maybe we need to invest in one of these! Joshua's getting a little air in this picture as he tries to catch a butterfly.

Kevin returned from Las Vegas last night and while he didn't win any money, he had a good time. Lots of drinks, good food, sports books and black jack dominatead his agenda for both days. He got the hook up at the Belagio, which made it an even nicer trip. Jaime came over and kept Joshua and I company Saturday and Sunday. We had quite an eventful weekend. I think Joshua wore her out and she had to go home and take a nap on Sunday. I'm so thankful that she lives here now. Not only is she helpful, but she's our bud and it's nice to have family and your best friend so close by.

Joshua's officially in the big boy bed now. It was much easier than we thought. When we have our new carpet installed the first week of February, we'll move the crib into the baby's room. Once the crib is in there and the new carpet is installed, we'll be able to complete the baby's nursery. He'll use all of Joshua's bedding, crib, glider and changing table but he'll get a few of his own decorations too. Once we know his name, which won't be until he is born b/c we need to make sure he's a "x" just as we did with Joshua. Can you imagine if we named Joshua Aiden, Nathan, Jacob or Shane which we were considering at one point? Top names are Jacob Matthew and Luke for this baby. We're looking forward to the new arrival. He'll be here before we know it!

My parents are coming in town this weekend to visit w/ us, well Joshua - ha! They are also going to check out a preconstruction condo and are thinking about buying a place up here. We hope that they do! When they retire, they'll spend most of their time between their Novia Scotia pad and here -- we hope.
